A shadowy figure, Nyx stood at or near the beginning of creation, and was the mother of other personified gods such as Hypnos and Thánatos. Her appearances in mythology are sparse, but reveal her as a figure of exceptional power and beauty.

The moonstone is used to honor her to this day. It reflects it’s owner and should be used during the full moon. Nyx lived in Tartarus, a place of torment, suffering, and darkness. Funnily enough, however, she is not exactly the personification of evil in greek mythology.
